The loose ends I tied up today involved two separate projects not related to the National Novel Writing Month project.
The first one was getting a current portrait project to the end of its current step in the seven-step process. (The reference photo I’m using is shown here.)
Today, I completed the sixth step. The painting now needs to dry for three weeks minimum, which means it’s off the calendar until the second or third week in December. The painting, which is a paid portrait, has been a struggle at this phase, so I’m very happy to have finally completed it.
The other project is the Advent devotional I’ve been working on for the Advent season at church. I printed and proofed a master copy yesterday, but had to place artwork and two final devotions. I did that today, then was able to print the final master copy and get that to the church secretary when I went to the choir supper this evening. Woo-hoo!
Praise the Lord for His help on these two things. Removing them from my daily to-do list also removes them from my subconscious. That means that I will no longer work on one thing while thinking I should be working on something else.
One portrait remains, but it’s going much more smoothly.
And, of course, there’s the National Novel Writing Month project, which continues to go in unexpected and exciting directions.
